2024 RCPS Summer School

Summer School is in-person.

Elementary School (Grades 3-5)

When: June 3-13, 2024, 8:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m., Monday-Thursday.
Where: (Transportation provided for all):
• At J.H. House Elementary School, 3100 Zingara Road, Conyers, GA, for Hightower Trail Elementary and J.H. House Elementary.
• At Barksdale Elementary School, 596 Oglesby Bridge Road, Conyers, GA, for Lorraine Elementary and Barksdale Elementary.
• At C.J. Hicks Elementary School, 1300 Pine Log Road, Conyers, GA, for Pine Street Elementary and C.J. Hicks Elementary.
• At Shoal Creek Elementary School, 130 McWilliams Road, Conyers, GA, for Sims Elementary and Shoal Creek Elementary.
• At Peek's Chapel Elementary, 2800 Avalon Parkway, Conyers, GA, for Peek's Chapel Elementary and the Bridges Program.
• At Flat Shoals Elementary, 1455 Flat Shoals Road, Conyers, GA, for Flat Shoals Elementary.
• At Honey Creek Elementary, 700 Honey Creek Road, Conyers, GA, for Honey Creek Elementary.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

When: June 3-13, 2024, 8:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m., Monday-Thursday.

• At Gen. Ray Davis Middle School, 3375 East Fairview Road SW., Conyers, GA, for Gen. Ray Davis Middle and Edwards Middle.
• At Conyers Middle School, 400 Sigman Rd., Conyers, GA, for Memorial Middle and Conyers Middle.

Where: At Heritage High School, 2400 Granade Rd., Conyers, GA, for Grades 9-11 for Rockdale County High, Salem High, Heritage High. Transportation provided.
Cost: Free.

High School (Grade 12)

When: June 3-27, 2024, 7:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m. Monday-Thursday (no school June 19).
Where: At Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Dr., Conyers, GA, for Grade 12 for Heritage High, Rockdale County High, Salem High. Transportation provided.
Cost: Free.

Learning Support/IEP

When: June 3-27, 2024, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday-Thursday (closed June 19th)
Where: (Transportation provided for all)
Elementary grades at C.J. Hicks Elementary School, 1300 Pine Log Road, Conyers, GA.
Middle school and high school grades at Rockdale County High School, 1174 Bulldog Circle, Conyers, GA.
Cost: Free.

ESOL, English to Speakers of Other Languages (Rising Grade 6) Discovery Camp

When: June 3-18, 2024, 8:20 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Where: At Gen. Ray Davis Middle School, 3375 East Fairview Road SW, Conyers, GA. Transportation provided.
Cost: Free.

Rockdale Bridges Summer Program - 21st CCLC

(Enrichment; Grant-specified for Peek's Chapel Elementary, Memorial Middle, Salem High)

Who: Students at Peek's Chapel Elementary, Memorial Middle, Salem High.
What: Students will be provided with activities, such as on-site and off campus field trips, STEM activities, character education, life skills, academic motivation, and social/emotional skills.
When: June 3-20, 2024, Monday-Thursday (no class June 19), 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost: No cost.
Where:
• At Peek's Chapel Elementary, 2800 Avalon Parkway, Conyers, GA, for Peek's Chapel Elementary students. Transportation provided.
• At Salem High School, 3551 Underwood Rd., Conyers, GA, for Memorial Middle and Salem High students. Transportation provided.

Who: Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment students.
What: Prepare for advanced academic courses next school year through experiences that propel your performance in Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses.
When: June 3-6, 2024, 7:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m.
Cost: No cost, transportation provided.
