Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) will begin reviewing instructional resources to support the implementation of the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Health during the 2022-2023 term. The GSE are designed not only to enhance students’ content acquisition, but to also prepare students to develop skills for creating and maintaining healthy lifestyles.
As the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Health raises the level of expectation for teaching and learning, stakeholder feedback is critical.  All stakeholders are invited to examine the identified digital resources and provide commentary. RCPS will hold a period of public review for health learning resources from April 15 – May 6, 2022.

Learning resources should be fully aligned to the  Health Education Standards, and  Georgia State Board Rule 160-4-2-.12. This process will focus on the core concepts for health such as alcohol and other drugs education, nutrition, personal health, safety, and mental health.
