Statement of Non-Discrimination


Federal law prohibits discrimination in educational programs or activities or in employment practices on the basis of race, color, or national origin (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964); sex (Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and Title II of the Carl D.  Perkins Vocational Education Act of 1973): age (Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, 29 U.S.C.); religion (Section 702, Title VII, 42 U.S.C.); or handicap (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973).

The person designated as coordinator of the system's efforts to implement this non-discrimination in employment practices is the Chief of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator for Employees Dr. Kimberly Back, 770-918-2685. The person designated with the coordination of the non-discrimination practices regarding student access (statement, board policy JAA) is the Director of Special Projects/Title IX Coordinator for Students Patrice Graham, 770-918-2682.
