42 RCPS students advance from 2024 regional science fair to state, nat'l, int'l competitions
Rockdale Science and Engineering Fair 2024 Grand Champion Senior Division winners heading to the state competitionRockdale's brightest young scientific minds and the research they conducted in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields were in the spotlight at the 2024 Rockdale Regional Science and Engineering Fair (RRSEF), held January 26, 2024, at the Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology. This year, 167 projects were submitted under 23 scientific categories. Out of these, 42 students were named Grand Champions and will advance to the state Science and Engineering Fair (35 high school students and seven middle school students). Five students were awarded and selected to advance to the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair in May. Five students were chosen for national competitions.
