Conyers, Ga. – Are you ready to be more in 2024? Come to Parent Academy and launch into your new year with free workshops and inspiring performances. Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) celebrates the return of Parent Academy for its 22nd semester on Saturday, February 10, 2024. This free, half-day event for parents and teens, held 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Salem High School, offers free classes and resources to help families find success. To register, please visit

This year’s theme is “Be More in 2024!” with classes and workshops focusing on wellness – physically, mentally, financially – and literacy.
This half-day event features classes and workshops, student performances, and student entrepreneurs and local community vendors.
RCPS Superintendent Dr. Terry Oatts opens the day as the keynote speaker with the “State of the School System” overview.
Afterwards, attendees attend two breakout sessions and can choose from dozens of classes. There are also classes available for Spanish-speaking parents and for parents of students with disabilities.
Lunch is provided at no cost as well as childcare for children ages 3-10 for those who pre-register. The event includes free door prizes, a vendor marketplace, and many community resources.
