Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl
Rockdale's Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Rockdale Career Academy. Community members are welcome to attend the competition as well as visit the Rockdale's Technology Showcase, which will be held that same day.
This competition is part of the state-wide Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl program and is one way media centers across the state encourage reading. Information about the book lists, rules for the participation and its history can be found at www.dekalbschoolsga.org/helen-ruffin-reading-bowl.
The books for this quiz-style competition are the Georgia Book Award nominees for the year. The book lists for elementary, middle and high school participants can be found at www.dekalbschoolsga.org/helen-ruffin-reading-bowl.
