RCPS has moved to the ParentSquare communication platform! ParentSquare acquired Remind and brought all of its great features into an already robust communication tool. Remind will eventually cease to exist.

What is ParentSquare?

Receive messages from the school via email, text, or app notification.
You choose how often to receive notifications: Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m.
Communicate in your preferred language.
Comment on school postings to engage with your school community.
Direct message teachers/staff.

A message was sent out inviting you to create your ParentSquare account. Parents/guardians do not need to create a ParentSquare account to receive messages, but creating an account will give you access to many settings and features that you control, such as having your messages delivered when and how you want to receive them.

ParentSquare also has a mobile app you can download from Apple and Android to make your communication tools even easier to use.

ParentSquare communications (text messages, email messages, and phone calls) are sent to the phone numbers and email addresses you entered into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. To update your contact information, log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account (see instructions below).

How do I update my contact information for receiving messages and calls?

For parents/guardians - to update contact information, log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account (CLICK HERE), then follow these steps:

1. Click on the person icon in the top right of the screen.

2. Select "Settings".

3. Select "Contact Preferences". Update your preferences and remember to click "save." Please allow at least 24 hours for the changes to go through.

For staff members - to update your contact information for your staff account in ParentSquare, you will need to log in to your Employee Self Service (ESS) account to update the information.

How do I send a message to my child's teacher?

Contact your child’s teacher privately by using the direct messaging tool.

On the web, you can click “Messages” in the left sidebar and start a direct conversation by clicking “New Message”. On the ParentSquare App, you can tap on “+” sign to start a new message.
You will see their child’s teacher and group owners in the quick-select recipients’ box at the top of the page. Or, you can type the first three letters of a name in the recipient box for other users to auto-populate.
From here, you can send a direct message to your child’s teacher that only you and the teacher can see. You can also send messages to other staff members at the school, such as your child’s coaches and club leaders.
