Required Meningococcal Vaccination for 11th Graders
Attention 11th Grade Students and Parents:
The Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale County Health Department will hold 11th grade vaccination events on the dates listed below. This is to assist our 11th graders in getting the required meningitis booster if they have not already done so. Georgia requires this vaccine and students may be withdrawn at the end of November 2022 if they do not have this on file. The GRN Health Department also will offer COVID-19 and flu vaccinations and have a limited supply of the Tdap vaccine.
Parents need to bring the student’s insurance card; vaccines are covered via insurance. If a student does not have insurance, the Health Department will provide them under the Vaccines for Children program.
The vaccination events are the following:
Monday, November 7, 2022, at Heritage High School Media Center from 3:30-6:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Rockdale County High School Cafeteria - use the Pine Log Rd. gym or vocational entrance) from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
