Resources after high school for students with disabilities

Post-secondary resources for special education students transitioning out of high school provide critical support to help young adults achieve independence and success. These resources include wrap-around services, which offer comprehensive, individualized support addressing emotional, social, and practical needs. Day centers provide structured environments for skill-building, recreation, and socialization, while vocational programs focus on job training and placement. For those pursuing further education, specialized programs provide tailored academic and social support. These programs, including inclusive college opportunities, empower students to thrive in higher education and beyond.
