Parents as Teachers (PAT), an evidence based internationally recognized program, provides parent education and family support to families with children ages newborn to 5 years old. PAT also provides prenatal support to expectant mothers.

Parent educators are assigned to each family. Through fun personal visits, parent workshops, group meetings, and developmental screenings parents learn what to expect during each stage of their child's development. This customized information helps parents capture the teachable moments in everyday life to enhance their child's language development, intellectual growth, social development and motor skills.

Independent evaluations show that at age three, PAT children are significantly more advanced in language, social development, problem solving and other cognitive abilities when compared with non-PAT children. National PAT reports show that children also scored higher on kindergarten readiness tests and on standardized measures of achievement in early grade. Parents benefit too! PAT parents are more involved in their parenting role and read more to their children.
