2027-2028 Specialty and Choice Program applications open November 13 - December 11, 2026*.

* Please note: Non-traditional programs such as Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (Grades 4-8), Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (Grades 9-12), Rockdale Career Academy, Rockdale Open Campus, Rockdale Virtual Campus (Grades 6-12), and Rockdale Virtual Elementary (Grades 4-5) are NOT included in this application process. These programs have different application processes and deadline dates. Please see these school websites or your school counselor for more information about non-traditional programs.

* Applicants to DAVIS MIDDLE and HERITAGE HIGH are required to do an Audition/Artistic Review. DMS Auditions/Artistic Reviews are typically held January and requirements are posted at dms.rockdaleschools.org/specialty. HHS Auditions/Artistic Reviews are typically held January, and requirements are posted at hhs.rockdaleschools.org/specialty. Please contact DMS and HHS for questions about Auditions/Artistic reviews.

* If you are already enrolled in a specialty program and plan to return to the same program at the same school, you do not need to reapply each year.
