2026-2027 Specialty and Choice Program applications are open November 7 - December 12, 2025.

* Please note: Non-traditional programs such as Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (Grades 4-8), Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (Grades 9-12), Rockdale Career Academy, Rockdale Open Campus, Rockdale Virtual Campus (Grades 6-12), and Rockdale Virtual Elementary (Grades 4-5) are NOT included in this application process. Please see these school websites or your school counselor for more information about non-traditional programs.

* Applicants to DAVIS MIDDLE and HERITAGE HIGH are required to do an Audition/Artistic Review. DMS Auditions/Artistic Reviews are January 10, 2026, and requirements are posted at dms.rockdaleschools.org/specialty. HHS Auditions/Artistic Reviews are January 24, 2026, and requirements are posted at hhs.rockdaleschools.org/specialty. Please note: HHS Visual Arts applicants must submit an art portfolio by 11:59 p.m. January 5, 2026, in addition to doing an Artistic Review. Please contact DMS and HHS for questions about Auditions/Artistic reviews.

* If you are already enrolled in a specialty program and plan to return to the same program at the same school, you do not need to reapply each year.
