The mission of the Rockdale County Public Schools' (RCPS) Professional School Counseling Program is to provide a data driven comprehensive school counseling program that promotes the highest level of student achievement. Students will be engaged in their learning and master the knowledge and skill to achieve post-secondary goals. Through collaboration with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community, Professional School Counselors, will empower students to realize their greatest potential and equip them with the necessary skills to be productive members in a global society. Find out more about getting financial aid for college. • Rising 6th Grade Night, Thursday, March 6 2025, 7:00 p.m., online (meeting link to be posted, check back later) Parents of students currently in 5th grade will want to attend to learn about the transition to middle school, how to handle a seven-class schedule, navigating Infinite Campus to track missing assignments, understanding how schools and the district communicates, navigating the cafeteria, balancing clubs and activities, opportunities to take high school courses while in middle school, and more. Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE) is a program funded by the Georgia Lottery. Georgia residents enrolling in a certificate or diploma program at a Georgia public college, university, or technical college may be eligible for the HOPE Grant regardless of high school graduation dates or grade point averages. |
