RCPS is returning to in-person, five-days-a-week learning as the default learning option for the 2021-2022 school year. Families who want in-person learning do not need to do anything. For families who want virtual learning, the deadline to select virtual learning for elementary school students (grades K-5) for 2021-2022 is April 9, 2021. The deadline to select virtual learning (Rockdale Virtual Campus) for middle and high school students (grades 6-12) is May 3, 2021. The application for selecting Virtual learning is in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. For more information on the virtual learning option, visit

Typical School Year Student Hours:

Elementary Schools,  7:35 a.m. - 2:10 p.m. 
Middle Schools,  8:45 a.m. - 3:55 p.m. 
High Schools,  8:05 a.m. - 3:05 p.m. 
Non-Traditional Schools (check with school).

Kindergarten Orientation:

This summer, EACH SCHOOL in RCPS is conducting Summer Programs for orientation, enrichment, and bridging (preparing students for their next grade level). Please check your school's website (CLICK HERE) and contact your school for information on summer programs.

School Messenger:

Due to changes in regulations, parents/guardians now do not need to do an additional registration in order to receive informational phone calls and messages from your school.  Calls will be sent to the primary phone number you submitted to the school when you enrolled.  You will be able to update your phone number and email address during your school's open house.  To update your address, you must visit the RCPS Student Registration office with proof of residency.
