Posted on 05/26/2017

EMS Orientation and Acceleration Camp

(Click here for page with Registration Form link)
June 5-8 and June 12-15, 2017, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Edwards Middle School will offer an Orientation and Acceleration camp for rising 6th – 8th graders. Registration form is available at this page (click here). Please fill out and return it to Mrs. Shawana Green at Edwards Middle School by May 1st. Transportation will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. A free lunch will also be provided each day.

This free camp is an opportunity to work on selected topics in reading/language arts and math to help them better prepare for success in the upcoming school year.

All students are invited to participate in the camp, but priority will be given to students who are considered at-risk and who have demonstrated a consistent weakness in their academic classes. Students are expected to attend camp for the entire time each day. Participation in the camp could have a positive impact on your child’s placement for the upcoming school year, particularly those students who fail their academic classes and/or the GA Milestones. This program is not an alternative for Summer School attendance. Students that have been identified to attend Summer School should not apply to this program.

Rising 6th graders attending Edwards Middle School in 2017-18 are invited to the camp as well.

If you have any questions concerning this program please contact Mrs. Green at 770-483-3255 or [email protected].
