The Rockdale County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room, 960 Pine Street NE, Conyers, Georgia.

Target Audience: Parents and guardians of students in grades PreK–12.  

Session Description: A representative from Parent to Parent of Georgia will share strategies for fostering collaboration and understanding during the IEP process. Topics may include effective communication, conflict resolution, and building positive partnerships between families and schools. This session is designed for parents and guardians of students with disabilities.

Parent Academy returns March 14, 2026, 8AM-1PM at Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Road, Conyers, GA. This year’s theme is “Learning New Tricks in 2026." Featuring free classes for RCPS parents/teens/tweens, Superintendent's Roundtable, door prizes, free haircuts and manicures/pedicures, vendors, student performances; free lunch, free childcare for ages 3-10 (must pre-register), and more. •  Heritage High School:  9:30 a.m.

•  Salem High School:  1:00 p.m.

•  Rockdale County High School / Rockdale Magnet School:  4:30 p.m.
