Please join Dr. Laura May, of Georgia State University, to learn more about the GSU/RCPS Pathways program. This program allows our Educators to earn a Master’s degree at no cost to the RCPS Educator.

Programs Offered: Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) OR Master of Education (M.Ed)
Master of Arts:
For teachers seeking certification.
Application due January 10, 2026.
Online during fall and spring semesters, hybrid during summer.
Master of Education:
For teachers who already hold a clear, renewable certificate.
Application due February 14, 2026.
100% online and designed for the working teacher.
Additional Information:
Many programs include the opportunity to fulfill requirements for an
endorsement.
Complete the certification or master’s program in 4 semesters between
Summer 2026 and Summer 2027.
Important information and requirements:
No GRE required.
Teachers must have a full-time classroom job in the district as a teacher or
paraprofessional to apply.
Teacher must be accepted into the GSU Graduate school.
Once accepted into the program, teachers are required to sign a contract with the district for two years after program completion.
In order to maximize the number of teachers served, teachers accepted into
the program will be required to complete an application for the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program.

Rockdale Career Academy's College Fair is Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all RCPS high school students and parents. Come meet recruiters from more than 20 colleges and universities, military representatives, get help with filling out the FAFSA (for financial aid for college), and take advantage of the Georgia Apply to College Month (when many application fees are waived). FLEX is an entrepreneurship competition—similar to Shark Tank—designed to give students real-world experience and the opportunity to pitch their ideas. The best pitches will receive $200 in seed money to start and operate their businesses, and the top businesses will win cash prizes.
We have over $3,000 in prizes available for the top three businesses!

The Office of Mathematics is excited to offer a Desmos Calculator Workshop designed specifically for Gade 8 Mathematics and 9th grade Algebra students in preparation for the Georgia Milestones Assessment. This hands-on session will help students become confident with the Desmos Calculator, the official tool used during state testing.
