Health Education Vendor Solicitation Survey – Targeted Content Sex Education:
Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) is seeking digital and/or print resources that align with the
Health Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and comply with section (d) of Georgia State Rule 160-4-2-.12, which requires the implementation of planned sex education/AIDS education for all students in grade K-12. All resources should provide instruction on “the handling of peer pressure, promotion of high self-esteem, local community values, and abstinence from sexual activity as an effective method of preventing acquired immune deficiency syndrome and the only sure method of preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.” (Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Program, Georgia State Rule 160-4-2.12)
Our plan is to conduct a thorough and comprehensive resource adoption during the 2024-2025 academic year for implementation during the 2025-2026 academic year. The adoption process will utilize a required advisory committee that will play an important role in the decision-making process. Only vendors with the best-aligned resources will be selected to provide a thorough overview of the resources to the committee.
Please complete the vendor survey
before November 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. if your company would like to be considered as a vendor for resources to be reviewed. Any vendor selected to advance will be notified no later than
November 22, 2024, and provided with instructions for the next phase.
