Click here for the free summer meals program for children and teens called "Be Bright, Eat Right Rockdale" (BBERR). RCPS and BOLD Ministries partner to deliver free, healthy, delicious meals for students at neighborhood locations Monday to Friday during the summer.

2020 Summer Science STEAM Camp at RMSST - June 1-5, 2020 Two Sessions Each day: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. $100 for one session, $180 for two sessions. BIG DATA Academy at Emory for Middle School Girls
June 15-26, 2020 9 a.m.-3 p.m., or July 13-17, 2020 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; rising grades 6-8; FREE; application deadline March 8, 2020. Free summer academy for middle school girls at Emory University that focuses on real data from cancer patients and how to discover what causes cancer. The students will learn about cancer, how new data are generated, and how these huge data sets (big data) are mined. This will be a hands-on research experience (not a coding camp). Students will tour real Emory laboratories and meet with scientists at Emory. Information and application at

iCan Shine Bike Camp

June 15-10, 2020; orientation for parents/volunteers on June 14, 2020. Ages 8 and up, for riders with a disability who can walk without an assistive device. The iCan Shine Bike program is a safe, fun, proven method that teaches individuals with disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently. Riders will attend camp for 75 minutes each day for 5 consecutive days. Riders must be willing and able to wear a helmet, able to side step on both sides, weigh less than 220 lbs., have a minimum inseam of 20" tall (pants leg), attend camp all five days. Volunteer spotters must be able to walk/jog alongside riders, be age 15 and up; non-physical volunteer opportunities also available. Organized by Rockdale County Autism Support Group, Inc. Held at Conyers Middle School, 400 Sigman Road, Conyers, GA. Cost: $200 camp fee/registration. Payable by cash, check, money order, or PayPal.
