ELA Gr 6-12 Resources Review (Due 1/31)
Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) is committed to selecting core instructional resources for grades 6–12 that are fully aligned with the new Georgia K-12 English Language Arts (ELA) standards. These resources must meet the diverse needs of our students and teachers, and alignment with state standards is a fundamental requirement of our selection process.

As part of this comprehensive adoption process, RCPS is taking the time to thoroughly vet and evaluate resources to ensure they align with the state standards and support high-quality instruction. This deliberate approach means our district will implement the new resources during the 2025–2026 academic year, following a well-thought-out selection process during the 2024–2025 academic year.

To make the best decision, we need your input. Between January 3 – January 31, 2025, our ELA/Literacy team will hold a public review period for the 6th – 12th grade English Language Arts (ELA) resource adoption across the district. All teachers, leaders, parents, and community stakeholders will have an opportunity to review the resources our vendors provided and complete a survey to collect feedback on which resource will best serve the needs of our learners for the upcoming school year(s).

Please take some time to review the resources and share your thoughts with our ELA team no later than Friday, January 31, 2025. All resources can be viewed digitally and onsite at each secondary school or in the foyer at the RCPS Central Office (960 Pine Street, Conyers, GA). As the Georgia Standards for English Language Arts raises the level of expectation for teaching and learning, stakeholder feedback is critical. We value your partnership in helping us make the best choice for our students’ success.

Thank you for supporting the future of education in Rockdale County Public Schools!
