CANCELED: iCan Shine Bike Camp June 15-10, 2020; orientation for parents/volunteers on June 14, 2020. Ages 8 and up, for riders with a disability who can walk without an assistive device. The iCan Shine Bike program is a safe, fun, proven method that teaches individuals with disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently. Riders will attend camp for 75 minutes each day for 5 consecutive days. Riders must be willing and able to wear a helmet, able to side step on both sides, weigh less than 220 lbs., have a minimum inseam of 20" tall (pants leg), attend camp all five days. Volunteer spotters must be able to walk/jog alongside riders, be age 15 and up; non-physical volunteer opportunities also available. Organized by Rockdale County Autism Support Group, Inc. Held at Conyers Middle School, 400 Sigman Road, Conyers, GA. Cost: $200 camp fee/registration. Payable by cash, check, money order, or PayPal.
