SAT Prep Fall 2016

Free SAT Prep Workshops in October and November 2016Posted on 09/30/2016Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) is once again offering FREE SAT preparation workshops this school year to prepare our students for top college admissions and success.

Students can sign up for a series of three half-day SAT workshops covering a variety of topics, as well as utilize the free SAT Prep course provided through USA TestPrep.

The workshops will take place on Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in October and in November at Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Road, Conyers.

Students can choose from the following:

SERIES 1 (which prepares for the November 5, 2016 test): Session 1 Oct. 15, Session 2 Oct. 22, Session 3 Oct. 29 

SERIES 2 (which prepares for the December 3, 2016 test): Session 1 Nov. 5, Session 2 Nov. 12, Session 3 Nov. 19 

Workshops will cover the following topics:
• Session 1: (8:00-9:30, 9:35-11:00, 11:05-12:30)
o Topic 1: All About Algebra
o Topic 2: Reading Comprehension Strategies
o Topic 3: College Application Essays
• Session 2: (8:00-9:30, 9:35-11:00, 11:05-12:30)
o Topic 1: Advanced Algebra
o Topic 2: Building a Better Vocabulary (and Reading Comprehension)
o Topic 3: Shaping Up Your Geometry Skills.
• Session 3: (8:00-9:30, 9:35-11:00, 11:05-12:30)
o Topic 1: Geometry Review
o Topic 2: Writing and Grammar and Multiple Choice, Oh My!
o Topic 3: Trick or Trigonometry

Priority will be given to current seniors who are registered for the SAT.
