Public Notice: 2016 Millage Rate
The Rockdale County Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2016 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 4.27 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Board Meeting Room 954 N. Main Street, Conyers, GA 30012 on September 8, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at 954 N. Main Street, Conyers, GA 30012 on September 15, 2016 at 6:45 p.m.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 25.320 mills, an increase of 1.036 mills.
Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 24.284 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $25.90 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $124.32.
